With its over 30 years’ experiences, Modern Terminals chose Taicang Port as its operational base
in the Yangtze River Delta and brought both advanced management philosophies and operation

The riverside expressway from the Taicang International Gateway connects to the economic
development areas along the Yangtze River as well as Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu
Province； The state highway 204 and 312, the provincial highway 339 connect the goods hinterland
in Kunshan, Suzhou, Changshu, Wuxi, etc.;
Taicang is networked with inland by several highways: Sukuntai highway (Suzhou-Kunshan-Taicang) leads directly to Taicang; highways such as Xitai first grade tonggang Road (Wuxi-Taicang), Xingang Road and Hufuhuangyanjiang Road criss-cross within and form an expressway system radiating major economic development zones in the
Yangtze River Delta;
The Suzhou-Nantong Bridge opened in May 2008 will provide a direct connection between Taicang International
Gateway and the industrial areas in Southern Jiangsu Province.

绿色港口 The Green Port
在公司的快速发展过程中，我们始终致力于“绿色港口”的打造。其中，将轮胎式集装箱门式起重机(RTG)动力系统由燃油改造成用电（eRTG）是一个主要项目。
While growing rapidly, Taicang International Gateway has also committed to the “Green Port”
idea. Upgrading the power system of RTGs from diesel to electricity system (eRTGs) is one of
the main projects.
太仓国际门户现拥有轮胎式集装箱门式起重机35台，按照2008年吞吐量计算，其操作需要耗3,000万升柴油。为此，公司于2007年初专门成立了以技术部为主的RTG“油改电”项目小组，预计投入人民币8,000万元，在2008年年底前完成全部35台RTG的电动化改造。
There are 35 RTGs in Taicang International Gateway currently. Due to the 2008 throughput forecast,
30 million Liters of diesel will be consumed during operation. In order to save energy, a special
team has been set up for the eRTG project in the early 2007. RMB80 million would be invested to
complete the power-driven upgrade of all 35 RTGs before the end of 2008.
